Ranked Placement
Internship and practicum placement matching platform
Organizations use the Ranked Placement platform to place students and other prospective interns at internship and practica sites using the same matching algorithm as medical student residency matching.
How It Works
During the application period, prospective interns apply to and interview with internship sites.
During the ranking period, prospective interns and internship sites rank each other.
On match day, prospective interns are automatically placed at internship sites based on both sides’ rankings. Like medical student residency matching, Ranked Placement is weighted towards the prospective interns’ preferences.
The optional open match allows unplaced prospective interns to apply to internship sites that still have open positions in a more traditional first-come, first-served process.
